Demand for EAMCET applications rises


HYDERABAD: The demand for EAMCET applications has seen some rise after the examination date was postponed to May 22 from the original date of May 8.

N. Rajasekhar Reddy, in-charge secretary of APSCHE said that 3,47,087 applications were sold as on Friday of which 2,78,808 were of engineering stream and 68,279 were of agriculture and medical streams. He said till Friday evening the EAMCET office received 3,46,057 applications of which 2,77,862 were of engineering and 68,195 were of medical stream. On the previous last day of the submission of application forms 2,51,013 candidates applied for engineering courses while 56,331 candidates applied for the medical stream.

Last year, the number was 3,29,283 for engineering and 54,702 for the medical courses.
