SSC Grading System 2011

The government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the SSC grading system 2011. Grading for the SSC exam marks will be done based on the marks obtained by the student in each subject – English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Hindi, and Telugu. The highest grade is A1 followed by A2 and the last grade is D2.

AP TET July 2011 Notification released

GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH, SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT has released AP TET July 2011 Notification on May 20.


Online applications are invited from the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Andhra Pradesh for appearance at first Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) to be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh on July 31, 2011 in all 23 Districts of the
State.


APTET is applicable to all candidates who aspire to become teachers of classes I to VIII in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private aided schools and Private unaided schools in Andhra Pradesh State. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as a teacher
in private unaided schools shall have the option of appearing at CTET conducted by CBSE instead of APTET if they so desire.


The test (APTET) will be conducted in 2 papers viz. Paper-I & Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear at Paper-I and the candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for both papers, Paper-I & Paper-II. TET will be conducted in identified 2 examinations centres on July 31, 2011 in all the Districts of State as per timings given below:
Paper-I : 9.30 am to 12.00 noon.
Paper-II : 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm

HYDERABAD: The SSC Public Examinations March 2011 results will be declared on Saturday. Students can check the results, including grades and subject-wise marks at AP Online and e-Seva Centres. Students can also check their grades at www.vidyavision.com

This apart, students can check their results through BSNL's IVRS and SMS service. BSNL landline or cellone users (IVRS) have to dial 1255225 and for SMS service, students have to type SSC followed by space and roll no. and send the message to 55352 or 56300. Authorities have also extended the facility of issuing true copies of third language (English) and Mathematics in addition to first and second languages. Students opting for re-verification of answer scripts (true copies) will have to pay Rs. 1000 per subject and for recounting of marks; it costs Rs. 500 per subject.

Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Exam Pattern

The structure and content of the TET is given in the following paragraphs. All questions will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking. The examining body should strictly adhere to the structure and content of the TET specified below.

There will be two papers of the TET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Paper I (for classes I to V); No. of MCQs – 150;

Duration of examination: one-and-a-half hours

Structure and Content (All Compulsory)

(i) Child Development and Pedagogy 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(ii) Language I 30 “ 30 “

(iii) Language II 30 “ 30 “

(iv) Mathematics 30 “ 30 “

(v) Environmental Studies 30 “ 30 “

Nature and standard of questions

While designing and preparing the questions for Paper I, the examining body shall take the following factors into consideration:

• The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. They will focus on understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning.

• The Test items for Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the medium of instruction, (as chosen from list of prescribed language options in the application form).

• The Language II will be from among the prescribed options other than Language I. A candidate may choose any one language from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the application form. The test items in Language II will also focus on the elements of language,

communication and comprehension abilities.

• The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. In all these subject areas, the test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject prescribed for classes I–V by the appropriate Government.

• The questions in the tests for Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for classes I–V, but their difficulty standard, as well as linkages, could be upto the secondary stage.

Paper II (for classes VI to VIII); No. of MCQs – 150;

Duration of examination : one-and-a-half hours

Structure and Content

(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) 30 MCQs 30 Marks

(ii) Language I (compulsory) 30 “ 30 “

(iii) Language II (compulsory) 30 “ 30 “

(iv) (a) For Mathematics and Science teacher : Mathematics and Science – 60 MCQs of 1 mark each

(b) For Social studies teacher : Social Studies - 60 MCQs of 1 mark each

(c) for any other teacher – either 4(a) or 4(b)

The test items of Mathematics and Science will be of 30 marks each. The test items shall be evenly distributed over different divisions of the syllabus of that subject as prescribed for classes VI-VIII by the appropriate government.

• The questions in the tests for Paper II will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for classes VI-VIII but their difficulty standard as well as linkages could be up to the senior secondary stage.

Inter supplementary exam time table

Hyderabad: Time-Table for Intermediate advanced supplementary exams to be conducted from May 27 has been released and it will be available on BIE website ‘www.bieap.gov.in' and www.vidyavision.com.

The Environmental Education Examination will be conducted on June 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The first year examinations will be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and second year examination from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.

The practicals of the advanced supplementary examinations will be conducted from June 6 to June 10 in two sessions – 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. everyday.

AIEEE! Leak of question paper delays examination

HYDERABAD: The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) question paper was leaked on Saturday night in Uttar Pradesh, following which the exam was delayed by three hours on Sunday.

The Special Task Force in Uttar Pradesh arrested one person in connection with the leak and is looking for further leads. “We are trying to trace two people who leaked the paper. We have the paper with us since Saturday night. It was being sold for `6 lakh,“ said Mr Vijay Prakash of STF.

While officials of the Central Board of Secondary Education, which conducts AIEEE, claimed that the question paper leak had been traced to Bihar and Kanpur till now, some city students, parents and coaching centres claimed that they had been receiving anonymous calls since Saturday offering to sell AIEEE question papers for ` 10 lakh to `40 lakh.

Some students and parents demanded the government to inquire into the issue to ascertain the facts while pointing out that two major rackets involving question paper leaks were busted in the city since June last year. claims trace Though CBSE claimed that the question paper leak had been traced to Bihar and Kanpur till now, city students claimed they had received calls offer ing to sell AIEEE ques tion papers. Students and par ents demanded the government to inquire into the issue to ascertain the facts.

In June last year, the city unit of the Central Bureau of Investigation had busted a major racket regarding leaking the Railways Recruitment Board question paper. The CBI had arrested Vivek Bharadwaj, son of Mumbai Railway Recruitment Board chairman, S.M. Sharma and seized lakhs of rupees of cash from them.

A large number of students appear for the AIEEE exam from Hyderabad. It stands next only to Delhi in the country. While nearly 60,000 students appeared from Delhi for AIEEE this year, about 45,000 were from Hyderabad.

“Going by the huge response for AIEEE from students of Hyderabad, there are chances that scamsters might eye the city to supply the leaked papers.

The issue has to be thoroughly investigated. We will request the state government to order the police department or any investigating agency to inquire into the complaints of AIEEE paper leaks in the city,” said a senior official of the higher education department.
