SI recruitment examination on August 13


The written examination for the recruitment to the posts of SCT Sub Inspectors of Police (Civil/AR/APSP), 2008, would be held on August 13 and 14.

According to a press release issued by the Office of the Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board, here on Saturday, the candidates who have to attend the test should collect hall tickets and examination centre details from the respective DIG/IG offices from July 11 to 16.

The exact date for issue of hall tickets would be intimated by the respective DIG/IG office in order to prevent overcrowding, the release added.

The written test was earlier postponed in November 2010 after pro-Telangana student groups launched an agitation on 14 (f) clause of Presidential Order, which declared Hyderabad as a free zone for police recruitment.

The agitation then had witnessed violence, buses being burnt down and the Osmania University campus remaining tense due to the protests for few days.

EAMCET Rank Calculation Algorithm

After the announcement of EAMCET marks students are curious to evaluate their score after considering the 25 per cent weightage given to Intermediate marks.



Though some students have appeared for the advanced supplementary examination other students know both the EAMCET and Intermediate marks and they can calculate the marks that will decide the EAMCET rank.
According to the system devised for the weightage issue, marks secured in three subjects in EAMCET will be calculated for 75 per cent and they will be added to the 25 per cent equivalent of the marks scored in the core subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry in case of MPC students and Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany in case of BiPC students.


For example, if a student scores 140 marks out of 160 (total marks) in EAMCET, his marks will be arrived at dividing 140 with 160 and then multiplying the result with 75 (allotted weightage) to get the marks.
Here it will come to 65.625 marks.

EAMCET 2011 results to be declared on June 8th at 9:00 AM

EAMCET 2011 results will be released on 8th of june 2011.
JNTU Hyderabad have also informed that the primary key released by them is final and Eamcet 2011 total will be only for 159, because of 1 wrong question in theexam, so they decided to eliminate that one and have to calculate for 159 questions only. Tthe results will be available at 9 A.M on June 8th, 2011 from the following website.

OU colleges in Nalgonda transferred to MGU


HYDERABAD: Colleges in the Nalgonda district that were earlier under the jurisdiction of Osmania University were handed over to the Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, at a meeting held at the OU on Monday.

V. Kishan Rao, Registrar, Osmania University, formally handed over the letter of transfer of colleges in Nalgonda district to Narender Reddy, Registrar, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda.

There are 163 colleges comprising 82 U.G. and P.G. colleges, 47 colleges of education, 29 MBA & MCA colleges, three pharmacy colleges, one law college and oriental college in Nalgonda district with a total student enrolment of 21,853.

D.N. Reddy, In-charge Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University said that the taking over of large number of different types of colleges would enhance the visibility and contribute to the momentum and academic vibrancy of the new university.

K. Narsimha Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, Mahatma Gandhi University, who initiated this exercise, said that assumption of control of so many institutions was an opportunity as well a challenge for the newly established university.

Till the establishment of Telangana University, Palamur University and Mahatma Gandhi University, the jurisdiction of Osmania University comprised five districts of Telangana - Rangareddy, Medak, Nizamabad, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar, including twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

Last year, the colleges in Mahabubnagar district were transferred to Palamur University. This year Mahatma Gandhi University expressed readiness to take control of colleges in Nalgonda district.

Accordingly, discussions have taken place to do the ground work for transfer.

SSC Grading System 2011

The government of Andhra Pradesh has announced the SSC grading system 2011. Grading for the SSC exam marks will be done based on the marks obtained by the student in each subject – English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Hindi, and Telugu. The highest grade is A1 followed by A2 and the last grade is D2.

AP TET July 2011 Notification released


GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH, SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT has released AP TET July 2011 Notification on May 20.


Online applications are invited from the candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to VIII in schools in Andhra Pradesh for appearance at first Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) to be conducted by Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh on July 31, 2011 in all 23 Districts of the
State.


APTET is applicable to all candidates who aspire to become teachers of classes I to VIII in the schools of the State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, Private aided schools and Private unaided schools in Andhra Pradesh State. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as a teacher
in private unaided schools shall have the option of appearing at CTET conducted by CBSE instead of APTET if they so desire.


The test (APTET) will be conducted in 2 papers viz. Paper-I & Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear at Paper-I and the candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for Paper-II. The candidates who intend to be teachers for all classes from I to VIII can appear for both papers, Paper-I & Paper-II. TET will be conducted in identified 2 examinations centres on July 31, 2011 in all the Districts of State as per timings given below:
Paper-I : 9.30 am to 12.00 noon.
Paper-II : 2.30 pm to 5.00 pm

HYDERABAD: The SSC Public Examinations March 2011 results will be declared on Saturday. Students can check the results, including grades and subject-wise marks at AP Online and e-Seva Centres. Students can also check their grades at www.vidyavision.com

This apart, students can check their results through BSNL's IVRS and SMS service. BSNL landline or cellone users (IVRS) have to dial 1255225 and for SMS service, students have to type SSC followed by space and roll no. and send the message to 55352 or 56300. Authorities have also extended the facility of issuing true copies of third language (English) and Mathematics in addition to first and second languages. Students opting for re-verification of answer scripts (true copies) will have to pay Rs. 1000 per subject and for recounting of marks; it costs Rs. 500 per subject.
